RS700 Open Meeting 2025 – 04 – 05 October 2025 – CANCELLED

UPDATE 1900, 01 October 2025: In discussion with the Association we have taken the decision to cancel the open this weekend. We have not achieved the level of interest necessary, likely in part to the challenging weather forecast. As Lancing SC open meetings are important to us, and we run them with pride. So it’s a real shame we have had to miss the opportunity this year. We hope to be able to repeat the invitation for you and the 700 fleet to sail with us again in the future.
Registration: Saturday 4 October 1030 to 1145.
Briefing – A briefing will be held at 1200 on Saturday 4 October
Schedule (proposed): First warning signal of the first race on Saturday 4 October is 1255. (Sunday 5 October is 1055)
Evening meal and social planned for Saturday evening – open to entrants and LSC member and their friends and families – register interest in advance – refer tickets below.

Location and logistics:
- Boat drop off: vehicles are NOT to drive up the Shopsdam Road access track to the beach. Boats are to be unhitched at the bottom of the track. Assistance will be on hand to assist/direct you from 10.00 on Saturday, and again at the close of the weekend, Sunday afternoon
- Carparking: There is no parking at the club. Once you have dropped off your boat, Beach Green Public Carpark is ½ mile to the west of Shopsdam Road providing short stroll back along the promenade: Brighton Rd, Lancing BN15 8RA. what3words: ///merit.cabin.stuff
