RYA Rediscover Sailing Day – 10:00 Hrs
If you’ve not been out yet this year and feel a bit rusty, club members will be on hand
to help out with rigging and go for a sail with you if you like. So we can plan numbers

Pursuit Race – 16:00 Hrs
Take part in a race with a difference. Slowest boats start first and fastest last with
everyone finishing together. Come and have a go!
Sunday 18 July
Battle of the Beaches 2 – 11:00 Hrs
Our second meeting with Shoreham Sailing Club. 2 races back-to-back starting 11:00
due south of the Church of the Good Shepherd. Last time we had a total of 42 boats
out sailing from both clubs. Let’s increase that this weekend.
Committee boat start, trapezoid course.
Shoreham run the Committee boat for this one and we provide two rescue boats.
Please email me if you can help with the 2nd rescue boat. Helm and crew needed.

Safety boat training
Would you like to brush up on your safety boat training?
Rod Johnson has kindly offered to run some club specific sessions using the safety
boats. These would take place on a Saturday afternoon for an hour or so after the
sailing training session has finished.
Topics to be covered:
Launch and recovery
Mark laying
Rescuing from the water,
Towing alongside and astern
