RACING gets go ahead! SAILING SEASON TO BEGIN 4 April
From the end of March, the Government has announced that outdoor sports can resume, whilst adhering to the rule of 6.
This means that (subject to the government lockdown easing timetable keeping to schedule) our season will start at 11:00 Hrs on Easter Sunday 4 April and of course, we will also be racing on Easter Monday.
For April and the whole of May (Easter Series and Spring Challenge Cup), we will be running the races in the same way as last year.
This means:
- Low Tide Racing
- Volunteers needed from Single households or bubbles as Race Officers and Rescue Boat personnel.
- Socialising limited to groups of 6 outdoors
- Access to the changing rooms from 12 April subject to the rule of 6 and clarification from the RYA on how they expect this to work. Awaiting information on shower availability.
- No internal canteen but again possible hatch access after 12 April subject to clarification.
