DESCRIPTION:Ever fancied a go at Sailing or other Watersports? Do you walk past thinking one day you should have a try? Well here’s the opportunity! At Lancing Sailing Club we offer a wide range of Watersports activities from sailing to swimming and standup paddle boarding. On the 24th May we are holding our have a go at Watersport Day where you can come and have a go at Sailing\, Swimming\, Stand-up Paddle boarding for free\, With food and drink available to Purchase. \nLancing Sailing Club is situated with direct beach access to some of the best sailing and watersports venues in the UK; a place perfect to get wet\, relax on the beach and enjoy the Club House to socialise in after\, with warm showers\, changing rooms and facilities for storing watersports kit (Sailing Dinghies\, kayaks\, SUPs\, windsurfing kit). \nWithin the club we have the following going on: \n\nDinghy sailing\, with an active racing fleet sailing April through to December. Regular Wednesday evening and Sunday racing.\nOpen Water Sea Swimming with daily swims throughout the year\nSUP/Kayak division. The Club has a pump and all the things you could need after a day out on the water!\n\nWe hold regular social events making best use of our onsite members bar and canteen. We hope you can join us to meet our members and have a go on the 24th May and see what the club is all about. \nPlease RSVP below selecting the activity you wish to partake in\, to give you the best experience\, the number of tickets on the website will be limited. Though if you don’t want to commit do come along on the day and we will do our best to get you out on the water. In an hour slot we will get you out on the water. \n\nSailing\nMeet and greet 10:15am to 1100\nChange into wet gear\n11:30 to 13:30 sailing experience\nSups 12:30 on Water from 1300\nSwim 1pm\nBBQ lighting 1 pm\n\n\n\nEvent is subject to weather conditions\, by registering up front we will aim to contact you to inform of likely cancellation postponement\, plus ensure we have enough support from our Lovely Members. \n\nWe have a small selection of wetsuits and you will be kitted out with a buoyancy aid. Though if you have your own wetsuit/kit feel free to bring it along. Sunscreen\, Towel and swimming suit recommended. \nFootwear\, please bring old trainers or wet shoes\, our beach consists of a lot of pebbles which barefoot can be uncomfortable. \nFor Children we recommend a minimum age of 7 for participation and that parents should go out on the water with Child. For 13-18 Parental consent required. \nCan’t make the 24th May? Do get in contact and we will be delighted to show you around another day! \nAll participation is at your own risk\, though we will have a rescue boat on the water.
